ITS NOT TRUE that Apple Lightning Ports say it wears out at 10,000 Plug Ins.

Read on Usb C port below

Based on my Experience Lighting Port wear out in around near 4 Years

or

1,465 Full Battery Charges or 4,930 Plug In lighting cable to Port.

EITHER Replace the Lightning Port or Trade iPad It In

iPad Mini 4 port completely wear out at around 1,400+ Full Battery charges Cycle

iPad Mini 5 port completely wear out was around 1,465 Full Battery charges Cycle

Battery was still 88%

When it was new it had 114% Battery, when i check apple Analytics Data Battery information

I charge near 50% to 100% Battery

First Year – Third Year: 2-3 Plug In =/~ 3 Times a Day =

1 Year/365 x 3 Times per day x 3 Years = 3,285 Plug In

Fourth Year –

Plug in Lightning Cable mostly requires flipping cable to charge.

4-5 Times a day to charge same 3 Times = average 4.5 plug in

4.5 x 365 = 1,645.4 = average 1,645

3,285 + 1,645 = 4,930 Charges

SO TOTAL Charges 4,930 Plug In on iPad Mini 5

YEAR 4 You Notice that port will start Killing lightning Cables.

The best lighting cable would be Anker Powerline II+ usb c to Lightning.

Due to Killed the slowest.

Near 1,000+ battery Charges = kills Anker Powerline II+ in around 3 to 8-9 Months

Near 1,400 battery charges = it can Kill Apple Original lightning Cable within 1 week to 1 Month. Anker Powerline II+ around 1-3 months max

⭐⭐⭐USB C PORT Wear Out Rate & Advice

Advice: To Improve Longevity on ports. Use Apple Usb C cable on iPad Pro or iPhone ports first.

If later after all below are useless and Usb C port still loose.

Use Anker Usb C cable, since its Tip a bit thicker than Apple Usb C cable. So it can work.

USB C can Stop Charging = Port wear out or too much Dust, but i feel it be less durable than Lightning port.

Clean port with tiny toothpick, or Ultra Soft Toothrush

If Port still dont work after cleaning port out & buying a New Cable = Port Need Replaced.

Advice to Also Try put tape on top or bottom of Port to try after all above failed steps.
